In January 2012 I designed an NYU graduate student film titled “The People v. Aissatou Ba,” written and directed by Iquo B. Essien. The film was inspired by the 2011 New York v. Strauss-Kahn case and is presented from the perspective of the title character (played by Jennifer Tchiakpe), a hotel housekeeper and African immigrant who is attempting to move on with her life after she is sexually assaulted at work and the case against her attacker is dismissed.

Below are a few photos that I took of my sets during the shoot.
