production designer & wardrobe, Past Present Future (2011)
feature film directed & produced by Andrew Gitomer

Past, Present, Future was my first time designing a feature length film and in addition to all of the sets and props, I was also responsible for wardrobe, a rare position for me that I really enjoyed.

The film’s narrative follows two characters through a tumultuous romantic friendship beginning in high school and progressing in to their mid-twenties. My most interesting design task was visually indicating the passage of five years in the lives of the characters through changes in their clothes and possessions. About half of the film was shot in the Philadelphia suburbs and the other half in New York City. The above photo is from one of my favorite sets in the film, a bathroom that has been converted in to a home photo lab, and the screenshots below are from footage by director of photography Jonathan Stromberg.
